Upon graduation from this program, you’ll be prepared for employment as an entry level dental assistant in a dental office or clinic. Program content includes chair side dental assisting skills, interpersonal skills, CPR, office and communication skills and much more by a combination of theory and hands-on instruction. Dental Assistants have many tasks, ranging from patient care to record keeping, in a dental office. Their duties vary by state and by the dentists’ offices where they work.
Delta College is an affordable dental assistant school in Slidell with reasonable tuition rates and financial aid available. Students will be trained on how to do all of the above duties and more.
Employment of dental assistants is expected to grow by 11 percent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than average for all occupations. After attending dental assistant classes, a graduate will be effectively trained to embark on a career in dental offices and clinics.
